2016 Scholarship Recipients

We want to congratulate all the recipients of the Josie Seebeck Memorial Scholarship! As the semester is winding down, we hope you all had a successful semester!

Each recipient displayed passion, drive, determination, service, kindness and caring on and off the field, and in and out of the classroom. Josie exemplified each of these qualities and continues to inspire. 

This scholarship was established as a way of honoring, remembering and ensuring that Josie's legacy will live on.

Josie Seebeck Memorial Run 2016 was a huge success with proceeds from t-shirt sales going directly to scholarship recipients! Happy 23rd Birthday Jo, missing you every day❤️ 

She continues to inspire every single day. 

 

3rd Annual Josie Seebeck Invitational

What a phenomenal day... Feeling exhausted, but accomplished. The 3rd Annual Josie Seebeck Invitational Tournament was a huge success. Thank you to all the players, the coaches, the parents, and all the volunteers who made this a memorable event. Thank you to KHS for hosting the girls again this year and RHS for hosting the boys for the 1st time. Congratulations to the winners:

Josie Seebeck Memorial Run around the corner...

Josie's birthday is August 19th! We have done a Memorial Run each year! Thank you to all who run and support our efforts to raise scholarship money. Everything raised is donated back to provide scholarships for military students going off to university/college.

Seebeck Family visits CMU

The Seebeck family trip this summer was to Michigan! Specifically Central Michigan University where Josie played soccer as a Chippewa!

Her younger sisters and cousin had a great time at soccer camp and on campus and at the Dreamer Coffee Shop where they drank a "Cup of Josie" (yes! Josie loved her coffee- and yes it was named after her!)

Thank you CMU for such a warm welcome!

A Beautiful Life by Josie's high school coach Ricardo Buitrago.

 

The following is but a small glimpse at Josie's short but remarkable dash. Josie touched the lives of many and in the process; she left an indelible imprint in the hearts, minds, and souls of those who were fortunate to know her. She left us with many lessons that are embedded in everything she did. We only need to look closely at her actions to see and understand.

 

This tribute is meant to help us remember those lessons and to help us find comfort, solace, hope and healing as we honor and remember her in our hearts. This is... A Beautiful Life

Please join us and invite your friends for the second annual run/walk.

 

Your $20 contribution will help in keeping Josie Seebeck's life and legacy alive by providing scholarships to deserving DoDDS-E graduating seniors. This is a rain or shine event. Participants will receive a t-shirt, please provide your size at registration.
